Terms of Use
1. The service
Gardenbell is an iPhone app that identifies plants from photos, proposes care plans, sends reminders and keeps your garden records in sync. Using the app or the website means you accept these terms. If you use the App Store version, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict for App Store purchases, Apple’s terms win.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Apple Account. You are responsible for the device and the account you use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, which erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Gardenbell Pro
- Plans. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the App Store or on gardenbell.app before you buy and may vary by country and currency.
- Free trial. New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before it ends, the paid period starts automatically.
- Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. App Store subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings; web subscriptions are managed from gardenbell.app. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro until the period you paid for ends.
- Refunds. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under Apple’s policies. For web purchases, contact us within 14 days of a charge you believe is mistaken.
- Limits. Free and Pro include a monthly number of AI analyses (currently 5 and 40) and other limits shown in the app. We may adjust limits and prices for future periods with notice in the app.
- Downgrading. When Pro ends you return to the free plan. Your plants, photos and history stay yours.
4. Plant advice is guidance, not a guarantee
Identifications, care plans, health scores and toxicity notes are produced by an AI model from your photos and context. They can be wrong. Check anything that matters, especially before eating a plant, treating a pet or child who may have eaten one, applying chemicals, or making irrigation changes. Gardenbell is not veterinary, medical or professional horticultural advice.
5. Weather and sprinkler automations
Rain skipping relies on a third-party weather service and approximate locations; sprinkler features rely on schedules you enter, webhooks you configure, or unofficial connections to third-party systems that may stop working without notice. You remain responsible for your plants and your irrigation.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Gardenbell to break the law, to overload or probe our systems, to upload content you have no right to, or to identify people. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
7. Your content
Your photos, notes and garden data remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and display them solely to run the service for you. We do not use them to train AI models or for marketing.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Gardenbell running but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service we will give you a reasonable chance to export or keep your data.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Gardenbell is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from plant advice, weather data or third-party integrations. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the laws of Québec or your country.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Consumers keep the protections of their home jurisdiction.
